22kW AC chargers on the 3rd Floor Multi-Storey Car Park, Sarawak Plaza

Kuching, 28 July 2026 – Sarawak’s electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure continues to grow with the launch of two (2) new Fast EV charging locations at Sarawak Plaza and Riverside Shopping Complex. Led by SKJV, the expansion adds four (4) new 22kW AC charging points, further strengthening Sarawak’s commitment to sustainable mobility and green transportation.

New Charging Locations

• Sarawak Plaza – 2 units of 22kW AC chargers on the 3rd Floor of the Multi-Storey Car Park.
• Riverside Shopping Complex – 2 units of 22kW AC chargers on the 4th Floor of the Multi-Storey Car Park, near the main entrance.

Both locations are fully integrated into the Fast EV mobile application, allowing users to easily locate, activate, and pay for charging sessions. Charging is available at RM0.22 per minute, providing an affordable and reliable solution for EV owners in Kuching.

This expansion represents another milestone in SKJV‘s efforts to build a comprehensive EV charging network across Sarawak, supporting the State Government’s aspirations under the Post COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030 and Sarawak Energy Transition Policy (SET-P).

In line with its expansion plans, SKJV is set to expand the Fast EV network with two (2) new DC fast charging locations in Kuching, further enhancing charging accessibility and reducing charging times significantly for EV users. Details of the new locations will be announced soon.
