SINGAPORE, 18 Oct: SDEC Karuna JV Sdn Bhd (SKJV) have recently signed two Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with I-Charging and WiredBoxGroup (WBG).

In a statement, the agency said the significant milestone was achieved during the mega exhibition organised by the Sarawak Trade and Tourism Office Singapore (STATOS), held at Suntec City on 16 and 17 October.

According to the statement, the collaboration aims to accelerate Sarawak’s transformation into a more advanced, cleaner, and better-connected digital state.

“The partnership with I-Charging, Mobilidade Electrica S.A — an electric mobility innovator from Portugal with its regional headquarters in Singapore — marks a major leap in EV infrastructure development. It brings European charging technology to Sarawak to support a cleaner transportation ecosystem and reduce carbon emissions.

“The second MoU with WBG, a company specialising in smart energy systems and mobile charging, will introduce mobile EV units throughout Malaysia. This initiative will provide flexible and rapid energy solutions for the growing EV community while supporting the country’s green energy goals,” it said.

The statement emphasised that these partnerships demonstrate Sarawak’s strong commitment to technology-driven development and sustainability, in line with the Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030.
